The annual Middle East & Africa FinTech Forum is held in Bahrain under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain and hosted by Arab Financial Services (AFS) and Bank ABC.

The first Forum was held in Manama in 2017. The Forum draws leading FinTech minds, banking executives, regulators and other interested parties to Bahrain once a year to debate the future of technology and banking.

Themes explored at past conferences have included the rise of artificial intelligence, how best to address the challenge of expanding financial inclusion, the significance of open banking and data-sharing, and the impact of tech companies offering financial services in new and innovative ways.
